I, Almas Cassim and owner of Resin Creation, started my small business during the peak of the Covid -19 pandemic in 2020 as a hobby to divert my mind from all the stress and tension of losing my job and still making ends meet to ensure my toddler daughter has a secure future. Like everyone else, I thought of also brushing up my skills in the kitchen, or making art and then one day, I discovered Resin.
I made little keychains and bookmarks for my friends and family according to their preferences and before I knew it, through word of mouth and demand, it became a full time job for me.
While making these products as gifts for my friends and family, I’ve noticed that a little goes a long way. People prefer gestures and custom made items rather then something exquisite and fancy.
I then thought of personalization which obviously adds more sentimental value for the customer. We, at Resin Creations try to freeze moments and capture it in something tangible whether it’s wedding pictures to significant dates. What makes it more interesting is we try to incorporate some personal preferences such as a favorite color, emojis, symbols etc for the customers which ensures the end product becomes more valuable.
